Also, as part of the fundraiser, a numbered serigraph entitled Cafe Rive Gauche by famed artist, LeRoy Neiman and a large basket of “artistically inspired” wines will be offered via silent auction.
Docents are hoping to raise money to fund the purchase of art supplies and several laptop computers that will be used in the classrooms to teach lessons to children in all four local elementary schools and RJ Fisher Middle School.
The event will kick-off Friday night with a wine and appetizer reception from 6-8pm. The sale will continue Saturday and Sunday, 10am-5pm. Offerings include works in acrylic, oil, watercolor, mixed media and photography. A free figure drawing workshop will be offered in hourly sessions on Saturday between 11am- 3pm for all skill levels, adults and children.
In addition, a number of aspiring artists from Los Gatos High School will be exhibiting a variety of their works. Many of the students have written eloquently about how the Docents have inspired them to learn about and appreciate art and their words will be part of the exhibit.

The Art Docents of Los Gatos is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, volunteer organization and runs on a modest budget. The budget covers the cost of art supplies, an art library, cost of training, cost of running the office and one staff person. The organization is funded by grants and private contributions and this year they are celebrating forty years of service to the community.
Docents are devoted volunteers working to enable our children to create a lasting, personal connection to art, spending more than 1640 hours in local schools each year. They feed the need for creative expression in our kids and we would be lost without them.
