Laurie Regan Chase is an award-winning signature member of the American Society of Marine Artists.
She paints both oil on canvas and watercolor of the countryside and coastline communities that she has visited in her travels.

She has become known for her lifelike interpretation of reflections, so realistic one can actually feel the light, the heat and the motion of the water. Through skilled brushwork and use of the palette knife she creates a three dimensional quality to her realistic images.
“My painting images are inspired by places I have sailed to and visited around the world from the Danube Delta on the Black Sea, throughout the Northern and Southern Greek Islands, the Turkish coast, Mediterranean and Adriatic Seas, Caribbean, Mexican Riviera and United States waters. I catch life along the seacoasts and waterways as well as the historic, colorful countryside inland. I have made a study of the colorful, weathered fishing vessels which are the livelihood of their owners, as well as the varied hull designs from country to country, and sea to sea. I continue my explorations an they will be reflected in my artwork to come.”
