SAN JOSE, CA — As polls show him with a growing lead in California ahead of the state's presidential primary, Sen. Bernie Sanders will head to San Jose for a rally two days before the March 3 election.

The Vermont senator is holding the rally at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, March 1, in the South Hall of the San Jose Convention Center, 435 S. Market St. Admission is free, but on a first-come, first-served basis.

Sanders, known for his fiery, arena-filling rallies, stopped in the East Bay earlier this month for a rally in Richmond. Sanders has opened up a large lead in the state's most recent Democratic primary polls, holding a double-digit advantage over his closest rivals.
