Body Pulled From Almaden Lake ID'd As Homeless Man

Breaking: The man was 33 years old, according to the Santa Clara County medical examiner's office.

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA -- A San Jose homeless man who was pulled from the water at South San
Jose's Almaden Lake Regional Park on Saturday morning has been identified by the Santa Clara County medical examiner's office as 33-year-old Gary Adams.

No other information is being released about Adams' death, according to staff at the medical examiner's office, which is responsible for the investigation.

The 32-acre lake, a popular spot for fishing and pedal-boating, reopened May 26 after closing Sept. 8 due to elevated levels of cyanobacteria, a blue-green algae that can kill dogs and cause skin irritation and intestinal issues in humans.
