Lisa’s music will accompany Ana’s beautiful paintings at the opening reception. Lisa plays guitar and sings, bringing a soft lovely vibe as she channels Joni Mitchell and other greats.

Talk of the Town: Canneries & Agriculture

Join us for a brief tour of the history gallery, followed by a talk about the agriculture and canneries of the South Bay.

The goal of this project is to highlight the Disability Arts Community as a way to reveal how art can be created: in communities, through conversation and support, through interdependence, and within systems of care. The concept of interdependence, or mutual reliance, celebrates asking for assistance, and honors the collaboration that is often present in artistic practice. NUMU provides a venue for conversation and learning to shift perspectives and develop awareness of disability culture and artists with disabilities.&nbsp;

Museums often construct a false separation between art created by artists with disabilities (disabled artists) and artists who do not expressly identify with disability. This exhibition disrupts that expectation by acknowledging that identity is intersectional and that creativity is informed by an artist’s lived experience. NUMU presents art that is made by, for and in collaboration with artists in the Disability Arts Community, celebrating the richness and diversity of the collective.&nbsp;
This project was developed with the support of an advisory group including individuals who identify as disabled, as well as allies who work to support and bring visibility to disability culture.

JB Webb brings the sound and style of classic Vegas to Maggiano’s Little Italy at Santana Row for a special dinner performance featuring the music of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bobby Darin, Nat King Cole, Engelbert Humperdinck, Neil Diamond and more.
Enjoy dinner while JB performs a mix of Rat Pack favorites, romantic standards and timeless classics in an intimate private dining-room setting.
Live performance: 6:00–7:30 PM
There is no separate admission charge for the entertainment. Food and beverages are purchased through Maggiano’s. Seating in and around the private dining room is limited and subject to restaurant availability.

Membership starts at $40. <a href="https://www.numulosgatos.org/membership" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Become a member today!</a> Pre-registration is required. Beginner and family-friendly. All materials provided. Age 16 and under must be accompanied by a ticketed adult.Join us at NUMU for a hands-on workshop where you will learn the basics to build your own papier-mâché mask just in time for the spooky season!



You will learn papier-mâché techniques and tips, explore materials, and create your own spooky or silly mask in this two-day workshop.&nbsp;Day one will be spent creating the form. Bring your ideas, as you have the opportunity to create anything you want under the guidance of artist Leyla Carleo. After the building, your mask will dry overnight at NUMU in our MakerSpace.
Day two will be spent painting and decorating.&nbsp; You will leave with a completed and unique mask that can be both functional and decorative!&nbsp; Invite a friend to sign up for even more fun.
All levels welcome, and materials are provided. For all ages (16 &amp; under must be accompanied by a ticketed adult).
