Coronavirus Information For Los Gatos Families
This week our district nurse and staff will be working with students to promote good hygiene to keep everyone healthy and safe.
March 2, 2020
Dear Los Gatos Families,
Information regarding COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) is evolving daily. We continue to work with the Santa Clara County Department of Education, Santa Clara County Public Health, and the Centers for Disease Control to monitor information regarding COVID-19 (novel coronavirus). At this time, the risk to the public is low. We are working on preventative measures to ensure the health and safety of our staff and students.
This week our district nurse and staff will be working with students to promote good hygiene to keep everyone healthy and safe in our schools. Lessons in proper hand washing will be taught in all elementary schools. Middle school students will view the Middle School Hand Washing video during announcements. Also, teachers have received information to support students during this uncertain time.
Our custodial staff is working hard to ensure that our schools receive thorough cleaning every day.
Parents are asked to help reinforce healthy practices at home. Please review hand washing with your children. Here are a few resources for supporting your child to help promote healthy habits.
