Coronavirus: Santa Clara County Reports 32 New Cases
The county also reported its 20th COVID-19 death.
SAN CLARA COUNTY, CA — The County of Santa Clara Public Health Department reported 32 additional cases of the new coronavirus and one COVID-19-related death Friday.
The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases countywide rose to 574. The death was the county’s 20th.
The 32 new cases represent a drop in the rate of increase of COVID-19 cases after the county reported a combined 165 cases on Wednesday and Thursday.

“Because of limited testing capacity through the Public Health Laboratory, the number of cases that we detect through testing represent only a small portion of the total number of likely cases in the county,” the SCPHD said in a statement.
"It is critical that all residents continue to strictly follow the Health Officer order to shelter in place to slow the spread of COVID-19 across the county and prevent potential deaths.”
