In Los Gatos: Crackin' Crab for Charity - 14th Annual Crabfest and Auction
All you can EAT Fresh cold CRAB! Silent and Live Auction. This is a Worthy cause as All proceeds go to local charities.

As it has done for the last 14 years, the Los Gatos Rotary will again present their premier fund raising event “Crackin’ Crabs for Charity”. This event is an “all you can eat” crab fest combined with exciting live and silent auctions.
The crab fest will be held in St Mary’s Church hall in Los Gatos on Jan 24 at 6:00pm. Rotary food coordinator, Avis LaGrone, explains “Hundreds of pounds of fresh Dungeness crab will be trucked in from the Pacific northwest.” Many of the menus items are donated by Rotary sponsors, such as the clam chowder from Billy’s Boston Chowder House
John Pencer, the auctioneer, reports “ I’m really excited about the terrific items I’ll auction off this year.” The live auction consists of travel getaway bargains such as Mexican cruises, a condo in Switzerland, ski villas in Tahoe and more. The extensive silent auction features dinners donated by upscale area restaurants and baskets of wine from local wineries. Of particular note, the wine available at the dinner will be from Testarossa Winery.
“Get your tickets online early”, advises Jeff Milde, co-chairman “This event sells out every time and last year we had to turn some folks away which we hate to do”.

It turns out that this occasion is an especially worthy cause because the profits go directly to local charities such as St Lukes’s Pantry which feeds the area homeless. Other beneficiaries are the Boy Scouts and a student leadership development program at Los Gatos High School plus …the tickets are partially tax deductible.
