Creativity is the heart of problem solving, both in a student’s personal life and in their future career. Therefore, students must learn how to imagine what may seem impossible and to hone their creative skills.
Rather thank limiting creative exercises to subjects that are normally thought of as “creative,” such as music and art, they should be woven throughout the entire curriculum in subjects like math, science and reading. For example, to encourage creativity in math, a teacher can give students a problem without modeling the solution first, allowing children to experiment with multiple approaches to solve the problem.
