Downed Tree Blocking SR 35 Near Santa Cruz, Santa Clara County Border

A downed tree and phone lines are blocking state Highway 35 near the border between Santa Clara and Santa Cruz counties this evening, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Officers responded to the incident around 3:45 p.m. at Highway 35 near Indian Trail Road, CHP officials said. Emergency crews are responding to the scene, CHP officials said.

A Sig-alert was issued at 5:06 p.m. and there is no estimated time of when the roadway will reopen, according to the CHP. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes, CHP officials said.
