Empty Store Fronts in Los Gatos

Walking down North Santa Cruz Avenue this weekend, we discovered that American Wireless Retail, GapKids and babyGap and have moved from their locations on the popular downtown thoroughfare.

A sign outside the former American Wireless Retail, Inc. business, which was located at 130 No. Santa Cruz Ave., across from , says the establishment has moved to a new location at 1040 D. Regstorff in Mountain View.

GapKids and babyGap have left a sign at their empty North Santa Cruz spot alerting customers that they've moved to the chain store's location at 35 University Ave.

Jigsaw Salon, which used to be located at 201B North Santa Cruz Ave., also had a sign outside its former location, announcing it's moved to 413-A Monterey Ave.

And some of the suites of , 40 No. Santa Cruz Ave.,

Liv La Vie, a women's clothing store owned by Los Gatos resident Karen Giordano, opened its doors at suite D at the end of March. But the other suites seem empty.

Also, the former building, located at 349 No. Santa Cruz Ave., sits empty to this day. It's been vacant for a year since the chamber left the premises in June of 2011 to make its home at 10 Station Way.
