Chef David Kinch Welcomes One of Australia’s Top Chefs for a Special “Cooking with Friends” Dinner

Get a taste of one of Australia’s most acclaimed restaurants at Manresa’s “Cooking with Friends” dinner on May 12 and May 13, 2012 as Chef David Kinch welcomes friend and colleague Ben Shewry of Attica Restaurant into his kitchen for a collaborative 10-course menu with wine pairings. Located in the town of Ripponlea, just outside of Melbourne, Attica and Chef Shewry received “Restaurant of the Year 2012” and “Chef of the Year 2011” honors from The Age Good Food Guide, Australia’s most prestigious restaurant guide. Attica has also been featured on the San Pellegrino “World’s Best Restaurant” list in 2010 and 2011.

Manresa’s ongoing “Cooking with Friends” series invites peers in the culinary world to join Chef Kinch for a distinctive dining experience. Guest chefs from top restaurants around the world have graced Manresa’s two Michelin star kitchen and include Alain Passard of L’Arpège in Paris; Mauro Colagreco of Mirazur in Menton, France; René Redzepi of Noma in Copenhagen; Alexandre Gauthier of La Grenouillere in Montreuil-sur-Mer, France; and most recently, Dan Hunter from Australia’s Royal Mail.

The 10-course menu will include dishes by both Chef Kinch and Chef Shewry featuring special produce by Love Apple Farms, Manresa’s exclusive farm partner.

The 10-course collaborative menu is $198 per person, exclusive of wine pairing, tax, and gratuity. Classic wine pairings are $118 per person and premium wine pairings are $198 per person. Manresa’s regular menu will not be available.
