Dio Deka Kicks Off The Summer Season with the Official Opening of its Outdoor Patio and Courtyard

What: April 28 marked the official opening of the Dio Deka outdoor patio dining space and courtyard in the Hotel Los Gatos, as the restaurant shakes off the remnants of winter and embraces the warm weather.

Guests now have the option to dine at one of eight tables located on two patios at the front of the hotel surrounding the fountain with full service available, as well as in the courtyard lounge in the center. With seating reminiscent of a Mediterranean villa, guests are invited to enjoy cocktails, wine and appetizers in the open-air space, or take a seat at one of eight spots at the full-service bar and order off the restaurant’s dinner menu.

The outdoor spaces are open during the regular restaurant hours:

Monday – Thursday: 5:30 – 10:00 p.m.

Friday – Saturday: 5:00 – 10:00 p.m.

Sunday: 5:00 – 9:00 p.m.

Details: Opened in 2006, Dio Deka, the only Hellenic restaurant in the United States with a Michelin star, is the culmination of the dreams of five Greek restaurateurs and is led by Chef Marty Cattaneo (formerly of Manresa and Ubuntu). The driving philosophy behind the restaurant is filoxenia, the Greek word for traditional hospitality, in which a stranger, or xenos, is instantly made a friend, or filos, after being welcomed into one’s home. Dio Deka’s menu places an emphasis on Hellenic cuisine – a melding of Greek and Mediterranean influences – with healthy and seasonal fare such as fresh fish, highest-quality meats, and sun-loving fruits and vegetables. Greek products such as fish, cheese, olive oil, oregano and thyme-scented honey play a starring role on the menu. The extensive wine list features 1,500 labels spanning from affordable Greek, Spanish and Italian selections to California “cult” Cabernets, and rare Burgundy and Bordeaux. There are 30 selections offered by the glass.
