Evacuations Ordered in SC Co. As SCU Fire Grows To 85K Acres

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA — Evacuations were ordered and warnings issued for parts of Santa Clara County as the SCU Lightning Complex grew to 85,000 acres overnight.

On Tuesday night evacuation orders were issued for the areas north of Highway 130 to the Santa Clara County line, west of San Antonio Valley Road, west of Mines Road to the county line, east of Three Springs Road and Mt. Hamilton Road, and south of the county line.

The evacuation warning was issued to areas east of Ed Levin County Park, Felter Road, Sierra Road, Toyon Avenue and Mt. Hamilton Road to 3 Springs Road; north of Mt. Hamilton Road to 3 Springs Road; south of the county line and west of the fire perimeter.
