Event to help families with loved ones hospitalized at Good Samaritan Hospital

Fundraiser at Regale Winery to benefit ACCESS, a non-profit organization that benefit families with critically ill loved ones.

ACCESS, a nonprofit providing services to families with a critically ill loved one at Good Samaritan Hospital, will be hosting the “Raise Your Glass for ACCESS” fundraising event on August 22, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., to raise funds for new, temporary housing to help keep families together during a time of crisis. The event will treat attendees to wine, hors d’oeuvres, and entertainment at the Regale Winery in the beautiful Los Gatos hills, and feature a silent auction and benefiting the ACCESS temporary housing program.

The families ACCESS supports are experiencing great financial, emotional, and physical stress while their loved one is hospitalized. The services of ACCESS help alleviate those strains by taking care of their basis needs, such as providing nutritious food while at the hospital, emergency overnight stays in the onsite housing and neighboring hotels, and gas vouchers and meal vouchers. The temporary housing program is a key part of a patient’s care as it keeps their support structure close.

“Raise Your Glass for ACCESS” will be highlighted by the impressive array of auction items, including rare wines, a three night stay in Sonoma Wine Country, signed Sharks and Warriors memorabilia, tickets for the San Francisco Giants and MVP tickets to see the Oakland A’s. Additionally, guests will have the opportunity to take home a lovely Thomas Kinkade painting titled, Abundant Harvest. The Regale Winery, located just ten miles from downtown Los Gatos, will be pouring some of its signature wines. Attendees will enjoy the beautiful outdoor tasting bar overlooking formal gardens, vineyards, and the coastal mountains. Tickets are $75.00, and can be purchased at: https://eventbrite.com/event/17160580759/ . Or contact Shannon Hickok, ACCESS Director, at 408-559-2395.
