Police have identified a woman killed this morning in a fatal hit-and-run collision in San Jose.

UPDATE 11:55AM-
SAN JOSE - A woman killed in a hit-and-run collision early this morning in San Jose has been identified as 22-year-old Alexandra Lozano of East Palo Alto, according to the Santa Clara County medical examiner's office.
Officers responded to a report of a collision at about 12:10 a.m. on Jackson Avenue underneath Interstate Highway 680 and learned a vehicle struck and killed a woman, police said.

Investigators were able to take one person into custody, according to police.
Another driver in a second car struck the woman after the initial impact and fled the scene, police said.

SAN JOSE - Police this morning are investigating a fatal hit-and-run collision in San Jose.
Officers with the San Jose Police Department responded at 12:07 a.m. to a fatal hit-and-run collision on Jackson Avenue under Interstate Highway 680.
Police said a woman was killed when a vehicle struck her.
One person is in custody.
A second vehicle struck the victim after the initial impact, but that vehicle fled the scene.
