First Middle School Speech and Debate Tournament

On Saturday, October 15th Bay Area Urban Debate League hosted the first Middle School Speech and Debate Tournament of the school year at San Francisco City College.

Over 20 middle school programs competed in Congress, Lincoln Douglas, Public Forum Debate and various speech events.

At the debate and speech awards ceremonies Young Genius students won roughly 2/3's of all awards, thus Young Genius students clearly dominated the debate events.

At the end of the day Young Genius Speech and Debate team left the speech and debate awards ceremonies with 19 gold medals and 17 silver medals.
