Traditional trick-or-treating is not recommended during the pandemic, so Halloween will look a little different this year. Los Gatos streets will not be closed for trick-or-treating, and we can celebrate safely at home.

Here are some ideas for Halloween 2020 festivities:

• Get cozy, grab the popcorn, and have a scary or Halloween-themed movie marathon
• Have a candy scavenger hunt around the house
• Compete in a pumpkin carving contest with those you live with
• Hold a virtual costume contest with friends and family
• Play a household game of spooky-themed trivia
• Bake and decorate festive cookies or other treats
