High School Placement Test Camp, July 25-August 12, 2016, 9am-12pm

Every year of Young Genius students apply to a variety of private/parochial schools such as Bellarmine, Harker, Archbishop Mitty, Saint Francis and Presentation, etc in the Bay Area, thus we developed an intensive preparation course to help those students achieve qualifying scores on their high school placement test (HSPT). In the previous years we had staggering results and our students were admitted into the best private high schools in the Bay Area.

The HSPT is usually taken by 7th and 8th graders, and it is designed to measure students academic achievement; it does not focus on memorization.

Once you have submitted the Form you will be redirected to Paypal website where you can make the payment in order to secure a spot for your student.

During of Young Genius HSPT Camp students will:

• begin with an assessment test and a detailed personalized score report listing their areas of strength and challenges, which will allow us to create a curriculum tailored to each student’s needs;
• during class sessions students will learn aspects of mathematics and English, which are found on the test and solidify these concepts through specially designed worksheets, as well as learn hints on how to best approach the HSPT;
• take timed sections of the HSPT so that students can learn how to budget their time and implement the knowledge they gain in class;

receive guidance from the outline to the final version of their personal statements for all of the schools they are applying to.
