Police released video and photos Wednesday of a group of people they'd like to question in a downtown San Jose homicide from 2014.

SAN JOSE - Police released video and photos Wednesday of a group of people they'd like to question in a downtown San Jose homicide that happened nearly two years ago.

Michael Maynard, 33, of Oakland was stabbed multiple times in the area of South Market Street and Park Avenue on July 29, 2014, police said.

Officers had responded to the scene around 2:15 a.m. that day on a report of a group of people attacking someone, according to police.

Maynard was found and transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later, police said.

A preliminary investigation indicated Maynard and the suspects were arguing before they stabbed him, according to police.

The roughly minute-long video taken from a security camera shows eight people walking along a sidewalk.
