Kudos To Saratoga-Los Gatos Chapter of National Charity League!

With their volunteer projects, these mothers and daughters are making a difference to our troops.

Nearly 100 mothers and daughters from the Saratoga-Los Gatos Chapter of the National Charity League, convened Jan. 25 at the Foothill Club in Saratoga to work on volunteer projects and hold a donation drive for Operation Care and Comfort.

In total approximately 250 hours of volunteer service took place that day.

Activities included assembling 450 entertainment, dental and toiletry care packages, creating 750 beautiful handmade cards for the troops to send home and writing personal notecards of support and appreciation.

Operation Care and Comfort is a nationally recognized program that supports troops, veterans and their families while serving in conflict regions, while serving on humanitarian missions and when they return home.

The National Charity League, Inc. (NCL) is a non-profit corporation composed of mother and daughter groups, organized to initiate and encourage charitable endeavors and to foster the mother-daughter relationship in philanthropic, cultural and social training.NCL has more than 180 chapters and more than 50,000 members.

Annually the members of the Saratoga-Los Gatos Chapter of NCL, volunteer approximately 6,000 hands-on hours in the local community.
