Dear Los Gatos Families,

We are working in partnership with the Santa Clara County Health Department and County Office of Education in monitoring current developments of the Coronavirus and keeping our students safe. Please see the latest March 3rd update below with information from the Santa Clara County Office of Education and Health Department. Information about risk factors for COVID-19 infection is evolving, but the best evidence currently available makes clear that risk of severe illness begins to increase at age 50 for those who contract COVID-19, and increases with age. However recent guidance identifies persons with underlying medical problems to be at higher risk for severe disease, including persons with cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cancer, heart disease, or chronic lung diseases like COPD, as well as those who are immunocompromised. If you have concerns about your child’s medical conditions, please contact our District Nurse, Sheila McConville to discuss your concerns.
