LOS GATOS, CA — The Los Gatos Town Council on Tuesday approved the extension of a pilot parklet program.

The extension, which passed unanimously, covers a period of at least five to seven years.

The pilot program was initially approved by the council before the pandemic and has turned out to be a lifeline for many local businesses amid the coronavirus crisis.

The program includes the implementation of platforms, ramps, overhead coverage among other proposed modifications under consideration to support the program through the winter months.
