Los Gatos Group Donates Meals To Firefighters: Report

Plant-Based Advocates donated meals to firefighters at the Winchester Fire Station earlier this month.

LOS GATOS, CA – A Los Gatos advocacy group that promotes plant-based foods donated meals earlier this month to local firefighters, The Mercury News reports.

Plant-Based Advocates donated meals to firefighters at the Winchester Fire Station Oct 9, the report said.

The group wanted to show their appreciation for those on the front lines of the climate crisis which they believe can be ameliorated by reducing meat and dairy consumption, group member Karen Rubio said according to the report.

“Providing meals is a simple gesture that shows solidarity and support to those who are struggling,” Rubio said.

“Making that meal healthy and plant-based, while avoiding animal suffering, is even more powerful.”
