Los Gatos High School New Millennium Foundation Presents Benefit Auction

The Los Gatos High School New Millennium Foundation presents the 12th annual benefit auction 6:30-11 p.m. Saturday, March 2 at La Rinconada Country Club, 14595 Clearview Drive.

The foundation raises funds for LGHS directly benefiting every student, said organization spokeswoman Lisa Tollner.

With the mission to “Make a Difference,” the foundation's grants also help  classroom teachers, the music and athletic departments, peer-to-peer activities, as well as school-wide programs.

This year's benefit's theme is "Denim and Dazzle."

Since it was founded in 2000, the foundation has raised more than $2.6 million  through private donations and fundraising events, Tollner noted.

Due to diminishing state and local education budgets, the group's support has become more instrumental in keeping LGHS at the highest standard, Tollner said.

"The foundation's ability to make up the difference relies heavily on the financial involvement and continued support from LGHS families and community," she said.

The NMF is managed by a volunteer community of LGHS parents, alumni, teachers, and administrators.
