Los Gatos Pageant Grounds Dedicated
Event also celebrates Arbor Day behind Town Hall.
Los Gatos government leaders and residents dedicated the newly renovated Pageant Grounds Saturday morning during a ceremony behind Town Hall.
The event, which also celebrated Arbor Day, gave the community a chance to explore its newest, yet oldest, park and enjoy some family fun.
The festivities included music from the Peninsula Scottish Fiddlers, an original poem by Los Gatos poet laureate Erica Goss, free face painting and popcorn.

In an early celebration of Arbor Day, children planted two trees. This year will be the 33rd year Los Gatos is recognized as a “Tree City USA.”
Mayor Spector and member of the Los Gatos Town Council cut the ribbon to officially unveil the recently renovated Pageant Grounds.
Between 1919 and 1930, the Town hosted annual summer pageants in the park. The upper level next to the hill served as the stage, and an orchestra pit was in the lower area. The audience sat on a sloping area that is now occupied by the Civic Center.
