Los Gatos residents are invited to attend and show your support for the arts. The award will be given at the beginning of the meeting.
About the importance of creative writing, Ray said, “I feel that creative writing is important because it has no limits. It is a way to explore various aspects of life with almost no consequence, and it allows you to unlock parts of the imagination that have never been touched before.”

“I hope that in the future I will be able to write and direct my own feature length screenplays,” Ray said of his future plans.
The scholarship was a dream of Erica Goss, Poet Laureate, Los Gatos when she began her term in 2013.
"Over the next year, I collected donations from Los Gatos residents, who generously contributed at poetry readings, workshops, and other public events," Goss said. "Thanks to the wonderful people of this town, I have a $600 scholarship to give to our first winner."
Goss also thanks Austin for her help in selecting the winner, and to Ray, for his excellent work.Information provided by Erica Goss, Poet Laureate, Los Gatos.
