Los Gatos Prioritizes Ordinances, Reaffirms Strategic Priorities
The town council met Tuesday to discuss upcoming plans and ordinances to focus on.
LOS GATOS, CA — The Los Gatos Town Council discussed strategic priorities and prioritized a list of 12 ordinances to work on at a meeting Tuesday.
The council prioritized the ordinance work in the following order:
- Amendments to the tree protection ordinance
- Single-use disposable foodware and litter reduction ordinance
- Commercial cannabis operations and facilities ordinance
- Social host ordinance
- Ordinance relating to two-unit residential development and urban lot splits in single-family residential zones pursuant to Senate Bill 9
- Accessory Dwelling Unit Ordinance
- Lot merger/adjustment ordinance
- Noise ordinance
- Shared mobility device ordinance
- Public nuisance/blight/administrative abatement hearing ordinance
- Amendments to sign ordinance
- Wireless facilities ordinance
The council also voted unanimously to reaffirm the town’s core goals and to approve the ongoing strategic priorities. But they suggested adjustments to language regarding seniors and noted that the one-page priorities list doesn’t encapsulate all of the town’s efforts.

Staff was also asked to include more of the town’s ongoing work with environmental sustainability and affordable housing.
