Los Gatos Silicon Valley Home Gives Cash Awards to 65 Schools

A total of 65 campuses will receive $200 during a special reception noon to 2 p.m. March 2 at company's headquarters, 221 Los Gatos-Saratoga Rd. in Los Gatos.

Los Gatos-based Silicon Valley Home, one of the Bay Area’s leading real estate developers of affordable houses, will distribute donations on March 2 to 65 elementary schools in Santa Clara, Alameda, Contra Costa and Santa Cruz counties.

“We believe that by improving the quality of homes, we also improve the quality of lives, both for the homeowner and the neighborhood,” said Todd Hill, principal of SVHome. “Often what was once the worst house on a street is now the best, raising property values and giving people more pride in their neighborhood.”

SVHOME believes that investing in children builds the foundation for a brighter future for them and their communities, Hill added. For every home sold, SVHOME will donate $200 to that neighborhood’s local elementary school, he said.
