Los Gatos Vehicle Theft Advisory Issued
Advisory comes amid spike in reports of vehicle thefts according to police.
LOS GATOS, CA — The Los Gatos-Monte Sereno Police Department issued a vehicle theft advisory amid an increase in the reports of vehicle thefts and burglaries.
Residents are advised to make sure doors are locked and windows rolled up and are warned against leaving valuables, spare keys or key fobs in their vehicles.

The Police Department retweeted a short video clip produced by the New York Police Department offering tips to the public to prevent vehicle thefts and burglaries.

"Never Leave your car running, never leave your pets in the car, never leave your children in the car, never leave your valuables in your car, and turn it off, lock it, and take the keys," an NYPD Crime Prevention Division deputy inspector says in the video.
Anyone who witnesses suspicious activity is asked to call the Police Department's dispatcher at (408) 354-8600.
