Nick's Next Door is Now Open!

Across the street from sister restaurant Nick's on Main, new eatery focuses on late diner.

He's done it again.

Los Gatos chef and restaurateur Nick Difu has opened a new restaurant at the former Tapestry location, 11 College Ave., and it's appropriately called Nick's Next Door.

His first restaurant, , 35 East Main St., was opened in 2008 by this kitchen wonder after 10 years of cooking in Los Gatos for other well-known restaurants such as Roy Yamaguchi.

“I wanted to create a restaurant where people feel at home,” Difu told Los Gatos Patch in March of 2011 about Nick's on Main.

While his first restaurant is touted as an American bistro serving California cuisine for lunch and dinner, his new venture focuses on late diners and is located across the street from his first namesake. It officially opened last month and begins dinner service at 5 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.

As with Nick's on Main, Difu maintains that certain-something that keeps customers flocking in—his personal attention to his patrons.

Nick’s on Main has been rated and recommended by Michelin and Zagat’s. On Yelp, too, Nick's Next Door is getting great reviews.

"What a wonderful restaurant. The decor is lovely, the drinks are inventive and chic, the staff are well trained and the food is divine!" wrote one reviewer on Yelp.

The new eatery features an outdoor patio with a fireplace, a full bar and bigger premises than its sister restaurant.
