Peggy Anne Bohn passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on Sept. 22, 2011, in Provo, Utah. She was born March 4, 1943, in Los Angeles, California to Lynne and Aline Pettit. She married Robert "Bob" F. Bohn (who preceded her in death on September 24, 2005), in the Salt Lake City Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on June 3, 1965.

Peggy attended Utah State University for one year and met Bob in Tripoli, Libya (where her family was living while her father was on assignment for the U.N.) when Bob was traveling in Europe and North Africa.

They began dating when she transferred to Brigham Young University. She was loved by the 123 girls in Bowen and Broadbent Halls when they were dorm parents. During marriage, Peggy provided constant support and stability to her beloved husband in his career.

Peggy quickly became proficient at moving, as they lived in Utah, California, New York, France, Germany, and eventually settled in the San Francisco Bay Area before returning to Provo for retirement. She was an exceptional wife and mother of five sons. She also managed to earn a Master's Degree in English from California State University-Hayward. She was a popular teacher of children's literature and taught at various Secondary Schools and Universities. She was also the first librarian at the Sycamore Elementary School in Danville, California where the children and staff loved her.

Peggy was a compassionate church leader, neighbor, and friend. Whether volunteering as primary president, relief society president, member of a stake relief society presidency, or primary teacher, she always gave it her all and was deeply loved by everyone.

Peggy was a natural leader, superb teacher, and a wonderfully engaging speaker. She had a strong testimony of Jesus Christ, His Gospel, and spent her entire life seeking to become more like Him.

Peggy was always an inspiration to her five sons as she worked hard in helping them succeed. As a result, her legacy through her sons includes: five paper boys, five eagle scouts, five honorable returned missionaries, five bachelor's degrees, five graduate degrees, five temple marriages, and sixteen wonderful grandchildren.

Peggy was known for her sensitivity to others and had an unusual gift of empathy. Often described as "the sweetest and most angelic person ever known" she lifted the spirits of all who knew her. She knew how to "comfort those who needed comfort", "mourn with those who mourn", and celebrate the lives of those she loved. She made every birthday, holiday, and family tradition special with unmatched enthusiasm. Peggy had a rare gift for making each person she met feel loved.

She is survived by her five sons and their wives: Jeffrey R. (Brenda), Matthew L. (Jamie), Michael P. (Amy), and Mark D. (Bonni) and sixteen grandchildren: Brittany, Kaden, Joshua, Ian, Aaron, Madison, Jackson, Dallyn, Samuel, Jacob, Kyle, Juliet, Christian, Emma, Katelyn, and one on the way. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Robert F. Bohn, and her parents.

Funeral services for Peggy will be held Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the Edgemont LDS Stake Center Chapel, 303 West 3700 North Provo, Utah. Family and friends may call on Saturday morning from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Interment, East Lawn Memorial Hills Cemetery. Funeral services are under the direction of Warenski Funeral Home of American Fork, Utah.
