Officials Investigate Fire That Scorched San Jose Cafe
The cafe is inside a strip mall at the corner of North Capitol Avenue and Barryessa Road.

SAN JOSE, CA -- Firefighters knocked down a two-alarm blaze Sunday morning at a cafe in San Jose, fire officials said. According to San Jose fire Captain Keith Woeste, the fire was reported at 5:16 a.m. at a cafe inside a strip mall at the corner of North Capitol Avenue and Barryessa Road.
The blaze was knocked down by 6:30 a.m.
The cafe will have to be shut down temporarily due to smoke damage that it sustained in the fire, Woeste said.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the blaze remains under investigation, Woeste said.
