One Displaced After Fire Burns Home, Sheds, Fence In Nearby Campbell
BREAKING: The Monday night blaze was on Mary Court.
CAMPBELL, CA – UPDATE: TUESDAY, OCT. 4, 4 a.m.
A Campbell resident was displaced from his home Monday evening because of a fire that burned the garage and part of the home's attic, a Santa Clara County fire battalion chief said.
The fire was initially reported at 6:24 p.m. at 823 Mary Court, a Santa Clara County fire dispatcher said. But Battalion Chief Wally Finck later said the actual address was 819 Mary Court.

A couple of sheds were destroyed, as well as a fence but firefighters kept the fire from spreading to adjacent homes, according to Finck.
One adjacent home did sustain damage to a window, but that was the only damage reported.

"We were very fortunate," he said. When firefighters arrived they thought the fire had already spread to adjacent homes. A call was made for a second alarm and crews were able to get hoses drawn to protect the adjacent homes.
No one was injured. The cause is under investigation.

A two-alarm fire is burning a home and a shed this evening in Campbell, a Santa Clara County fire dispatcher said.
The fire was reported at 6:24 p.m. on the 800 block of Mary Court.
