Readers' Photos: St. Patrick's Sláinte at C.B. Hannegan's
All day celebration began early Sunday and continued past midnight for revelers.
C.B. Hannegan's volunteer Emma Abela and town poet laureate Erica Goss sent the following photos to Los Gatos Patch of the revelry Sunday, March 17 in honor of St. Patrick's Day.
As in years past, hundreds congregated at the popular Irish pub and restaurant on Bachman Avenue to enjoy the festivities, which included unlimited barbecue, live music and Celtic bagpipe musicians.
Famous D.J. Sean O'Callaghan was the master of ceremonies and the group Pladdohg performed Irish music on the main stage, plus the Rosemary Turco's Irish dancers.

Los Gatos resident Richard Katz also blew his bagpipe on the crowded patio, where the C.B. Hannegan's Homeboy Bagpipers parade happened at noon, 3, 5 and 7 p.m.
Roving singers included John Hopkirk and Anne Murphy, who performed traditional Irish music along with the Greene-Comerford Academy of Irish Dancers.

Goss organized the first "Pint of Poetry" crawl event, celebrating Irish poetry. Local muses gathered at the Los Gatos Library and then walked to C.B. Hannegan's in a procession while reading poetry at various spots along the way.
The Cruzers, an Americeltic rock and roll band, finished off the evening with a four-hour performance that ended with the singing of happy birthday to owner Chris Benson at midnight.
