New Campbell USD Preschool Director Named

The San Jose resident will oversee the district's early childhood education programs, serving children from birth to Kindergarten entry.

From Campbell Union School District: Campbell Union School District announces Heather Elston as its new Preschool Director.

Previously the Assistant Director of Preschools, she now will oversee all of the daily program operations for the District’s early childhood education programs, which serve children from birth to Kindergarten entry. Elston works to develop and maintain positive community and district partnerships. Her responsibilities include developing program policies in compliance with laws and regulations, and aligning program goals and operations to the district strategic plan.

A San Jose resident, Elston started with Campbell Union School District in 2011. She holds a Masters of Business Administration with a Specialization in Organizational Leadership from National University, and Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science. She possesses a Program Director permit from the Commission on Teacher Credentialing. She is also active in multiple organizations including being a Santa Clara County Quality Matters Consortium Member, Local Early Education Planning Council participant, PITC Trainer, Title 5 Provider, and District Negotiation Team Member.

Elston is married with her first-born son on the way. She looks forward to serving the district's earliest learners as well as being a participant of their quality programs from birth to age five.
