San Jose Man Dies In Hwy 85 Rollover Crash: CHP
The crash near Great Oaks Boulevard happened early Sunday, according to the California Highway Patrol.

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA — A 39-year-old man died in a rollover crash off of state Highway 85 in San Jose early Sunday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash was reported at about 12:30 a.m. on southbound Highway 85 just north of Great Oaks Boulevard.
The driver, identified by the Santa Clara County medical examiner's office as Samuel Garcia Jr., for some reason lost control of a 1999 Toyota that went off the west edge of the roadway and overturned as it traveled down a dirt embankment, CHP officials said.
Garcia, a San Jose resident, suffered major injuries and lost consciousness. He succumbed to his injuries while en route to Regional Medical Center of San Jose, according to the CHP.

His 36-year-old female passenger suffered minor injuries and was taken to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center.
The cause of the crash is under investigation and CHP officials said they do not yet know if alcohol or drugs were possible factors. Anyone with information about the case is encouraged to call Officer T. Thompson of
