San Jose Man Dies in Santa Cruz Motorcycle Crash, Hit-And-Run Collision
A San Jose motorcyclist died Sunday evening in a crash and hit-and-run collision on southbound state Highway 1 in Santa Cruz.
SANTA CRUZ - A motorcyclist died Sunday evening in a crash and hit-and-run collision on southbound state Highway 1 in Santa Cruz, California Highway Patrol officials said.
The 35-year-old San Jose man was speeding on the highway at 7:15 p.m. south of River Street when he lost control of a 2015 Yamaha motorcycle and crashed into a concrete wall.
The man was ejected from the bike and he landed in the highway where a vehicle struck him, CHP officials said.

The driver of the vehicle did not stop after the collision.
Anyone who has information about the collision is being asked to call the Santa Cruz Area CHP office at (831) 662-0511.
