SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA — The Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors has enacted an ordinance calling for the enforcement of health orders including mask-wearing, The San Jose Mercury News reports.
Individuals could face fines up to $500 and businesses could see fines up to $5,000 for not wearing masks in public when social distancing isn’t possible, among other violations, the report said.
The ordinance follows similar measures enacted last week in neighboring San Mateo and Santa Cruz counties.
