Santa Clara County Reports 2 New Coronavirus Deaths, 64 Cases

There were 72 COVID-19 patients hospitalized in Santa Clara County as of Thursday, of which 31 were being treated in intensive care units.

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA — The Santa Clara County Public Health Department reported two additional coronavirus-related deaths Thursday.

The latest announcement brings the countywide COVID-19 death toll to 155.

The county reported 64 new coronavirus cases Thursday, bringing the countywide total of those who’ve tested positive for the virus to 3,888.

There were 197,589 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 5,751 coronavirus-related deaths in California as of Thursday afternoon according to data from Johns Hopkins University.

The United States had 2,416,727 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 122,550 coronavirus-related fatalities as of Thursday afternoon.
