Santa Clara County Reports 229 New Coronavirus Cases, No Deaths

There were 172 COVID-19 patients hospitalized in Santa Clara County as of Monday, of which 50 were being treated in intensive care units.

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA — The Santa Clara County Public Health Department reported 229 additional coronavirus cases Monday.

The latest report covers a two-day period going back to Saturday and brings the countywide COVID-19 case count to 14,636.

The county reported no additional coronavirus-related fatalities Monday, leaving its COVID-19 death toll at 209.

There have been 629,415 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 11,296 coronavirus-related deaths in California as of Monday afternoon according to data from Johns Hopkins University.

The United States had 5,435,908 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 170,453 coronavirus-related fatalities as of Monday afternoon.

There have been 21,808,197 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 772,452 deaths reported globally as of Monday afternoon.
