Santa Clara County Reports 298 New Coronavirus Cases, 1 Death

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA — The Santa Clara County Public Health Department reported 298 additional coronavirus cases Thursday.

The latest report brings the countywide COVID-19 case count to 13,340.

The county reported one additional coronavirus-related fatalities, bringing its COVID-19 death toll to 208.

There were 169 COVID-19 patients hospitalized in Santa Clara County as of Thursday, of which 48 were being treated in intensive care units.

There have been 594,810 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 10,813 coronavirus-related deaths in California as of Thursday afternoon according to data from Johns Hopkins University.

The United States had 5,240,650 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 166,956 coronavirus-related fatalities as of Thursday afternoon.

There have been 20,737,697 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 751,887 deaths reported globally as of Thursday afternoon.
