Santa Clara County Reports 97 New Coronavirus Cases, 5 Deaths

There were 78 COVID-19 patients hospitalized in Santa Clara County as of Monday, of which 20 were being treated in intensive care units.

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA — The Santa Clara County Public Health Department reported 97 additional coronavirus cases Monday.

The latest report, which covers a two-day period going back to Saturday, brings the countywide case count to 22,644.

The county reported five additional coronavirus-related fatalities Monday, bringing its COVID-19 death toll to 362.

There have been 856,704 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 16,583 coronavirus-related deaths in California as of Monday afternoon according to data from Johns Hopkins University.

The United States had 7,800,532 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 214,034 coronavirus-related fatalities as of Monday afternoon.

There have been 37,706,961 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 1,078,411 deaths reported globally as of Monday afternoon.
