Solo Motorcycle Crash South Of Los Gatos Kills 1

A motorcyclist died after a solo crash Sunday evening in unincorporated Santa Clara County, California Highway Patrol officials said.

A 28-year-old man died Sunday evening after he lost control of his motorcycle in unincorporated Santa Clara County, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The man was traveling southbound on Black Road at Beggs Road around 5:40 p.m. when, for unknown reasons, he lost control and was ejected when the bike overturned, the CHP said.

According to the CHP, the driver struck a tree on the east roadway edge of Black Road and succumbed to his injuries in a helicopter on the way to the hospital or at the hospital.

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in this collision and the identity of the driver is being withheld until next of kin is notified.

SANTA CLARA COUNTY - A motorcyclist died after a solo crash Sunday evening in unincorporated Santa Clara County, California Highway Patrol officials said.

The crash was first reported at 5:40 p.m. on Black Road near the intersection with state Highway 35, south of Los Gatos.

The victim died in a helicopter on the way to a hospital or at a hospital, CHP Officer Eric Anderson said.
