South Bay Church Stabbing Kills 2
Stabbing attack at Grace Baptist Church near SJSU was reported at around 8:45 p.m. Several others suffered life-threatening injuries.
SAN JOSE, CA — Two people were killed, and several others suffered life-threatening injuries in a stabbing attack Sunday night at a South Bay church where homeless people had been brought to get them out of the cold, San Jose police said.

A man was arrested in connection with the stabbing, The Mercury News reports.
Officers responded at around 8:45 p.m. to the report of a stabbing attack at Grace Baptist Church, near the San Jose State University campus at 484 E. San Fernando Street, police said.

Police said there were no services going on at the church at the time.

The victims were identified as a man and a woman according to The Mercury News report. Three others wounded in the attack are expected to survive, the report said.

San Jose police said on Twitter that the homicides are the city’s 40th and 41st this year.
