South Bay Day Care Worker Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Child, 9
BREAKING: Police arrested the suspect and are working to identify other children who might have been victimized.

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA — Police in San Jose have arrested a day care aide in connection with the sexual assault of a minor. The suspect, who police said is believed to be a minor at the time of the incident, was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault of a minor under 14 years old, according to the San Jose Police Department.
On Wednesday police received a report about a 9-year-old who was touched inappropriately by a day care aide at Jumping Up Learning Circles after-school day care program at 5965 Almaden Expressway. The suspect was apprehended near the business without incident and was taken into custody, according to police.
According to police, the male suspect is 18 years old.

The suspect's name was withheld by police.
The department's Internet Crimes Against Children/Child Exploitation Detail is working with the day care program to identify other children who might have been victimized, according to police.

Anyone who provides information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect may be eligible for a cash reward from Silicon Valley Crime Stoppers, police said.
