South Bay Man Arrested On Suspicion Of 'Horrific' Double-Homicide
Leonid Solomonovich Yamburg, 51, is accused of killing his wife and 11-year-old daughter according to police.
SUNNYVALE, CA — A South Bay man was arrested Wednesday afternoon on suspicion of killing his wife and 11-year-old daughter, Sunnyvale police said.
Leonid Solomonovich Yamburg, 51, entered the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety headquarters at around 2:35 p.m. and was immediately detained after confessing to a records clerk that he killed his wife, police said.

Officers responded to Yamburg’s residence in the 900 block of West Homestead Road and found his wife, Svetlana Nikitinaand Yamburg and his 11-year-old daughter dead.

The specific cause of death is currently under investigation by the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner.
“This is a horrific tragedy and our hearts are broken for the victims, the victim’s families and the victim’s friends,” police said in a statement.
