Police in Milpitas rescued a kitten stuck in a storm drain on the Montague Expressway.

“The kitten had somehow fallen into the drain and was too small to get out,” the Milpitas Police Department wrote in a Facebook post.
“Officers were able to lift the steel grate and rescue the kitten from the drain. Other than being hungry, the kitten appeared to be in good health.”

Judging by the photo MPD the posted on its Facebook page, the kitten appears to like its new badge-wearing friend.
“Thank you to the citizen who called, we appreciate you bringing this to our attention. The kitten was turned over to Animal Control and will hopefully find a warm home this holiday season,” the MPD said.
