South Bay Sexual Assault Suspect Arrested

Bashir Tacuma, 41, was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and booked into the Santa Clara County Jail, police said.

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA — A sexual assault suspect who police believe may be tied to similar incidents was arrested in the St. James Park area of San Jose, police said.

Bashir Tacuma, 41, was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and booked into the Santa Clara County Jail, police said.

Police said Tacuma is known to frequent the downtown area of San Jose.

“Detectives assigned to the case conducted follow-up that led them to believe there may be additional victims,” San Jose police Officer Steven Aponte said in a news release.
