South Bay Shooting Death Probed

No suspects have yet been identified.

SAN JOSE, CA — Police are investigating the shooting death of a man early Sunday morning near downtown San Jose.

Officers responded at about 12:15 a.m. to the 400 block of North 13th Street, where paramedics declared the victim dead.

The man's identity will be released after it is confirmed by the Santa Clara County Coroner's Office and next of kin are notified.

Police say investigators are working to determine the motive and circumstances of this South Bay city’s 37th reported homicide of the year.
